Can your phone cure your fears? new app tests virtual therapy for OCD
NCT ID NCT07194473
Summary
This study is testing a smartphone app called ZeroOCD that uses augmented reality to deliver therapy for contamination-related obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Researchers will compare the app's effectiveness against traditional video therapy sessions and a waitlist group. The goal is to see if this accessible, at-home tool can help reduce OCD symptoms for people who face barriers to in-person treatment.
