App and pills together may curb heavy drinking in veterans

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a smartphone app to standard medication can help Veterans with alcohol use disorder drink less heavily. About 330 Veterans from VA primary care will either get medication alone or medication plus the app. The goal is to see if the app makes it easier to reduce heavy drinking days and improve quality of life.
