Your phone could soon detect dangerous heart rhythms

NCT ID NCT07154303

Summary

This study is testing whether smartphone apps and accessories can accurately detect atrial fibrillation (AF), an irregular heart rhythm. Researchers are enrolling 209 adults with and without AF to record their heart sounds, electrical activity, and blood flow using phone cameras, microphones, and simple sensors. The goal is to see if artificial intelligence can analyze these signals to spot AF as well as a standard medical ECG machine.
