First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study compares computer-controlled prosthetic knees (MPKs) to standard ones in 100 adults with above-knee amputations. The goal is to see if MPKs reduce fall-related health problems, improve mobility, and boost quality of life. Participants keep their current knee or receive a smart knee, and researchers track falls and confidence over time.
