Bionic leg tested to make walking easier for amputees

NCT ID NCT06616402

Summary

This study tested a new, smart prosthetic leg for people with above- or below-knee amputations. The device uses sensors to read the user's muscle signals and has motorized knee and ankle joints that actively help with walking. Researchers checked if the advanced prosthesis was safe, reliable, and made daily activities easier for the eight participants.
