First seen Dec 17, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested a smart insulin pen system (Smart MDI) against standard daily injections in 179 people with type 1 diabetes. The goal was to see if the smart system helps keep blood sugar in a healthy range more consistently. Participants used either the smart pen with continuous glucose monitors or their usual injections and monitors for 6 months.
