Smart mat aims to stop diabetic foot sores before they start

Summary

This study is testing if a smart mat that checks foot temperature at home can help prevent painful foot ulcers in Veterans with diabetes. About 800 Veterans with a history of foot ulcers or amputations will use the mat or receive usual care. The goal is to see if early warning from temperature changes can stop ulcers from forming and reduce hospital visits.
