Smart mask aims to replace sleep lab wires for monitoring

NCT ID NCT07136272

Summary

This study is testing a new 'Smart Mask' system to see if it can accurately measure sleep stages and disruptions in adults with sleep apnea. The mask works with a standard sleep apnea therapy machine and uses sensors and computer algorithms to analyze breathing and heart rate patterns while people sleep. Researchers will compare the mask's readings to those from a full overnight sleep lab study and an existing FDA-cleared device to check its accuracy.
