Phone app aims to take the guesswork out of insulin dosing
NCT ID NCT07291804
Summary
This study tested a smartphone-based system designed to help adults with type 2 diabetes who are starting insulin. The system uses an algorithm to suggest insulin dose adjustments based on daily blood sugar readings, which are sent from a smart glucose meter. Researchers compared this smart system to standard doctor-led care to see if it led to better blood sugar control and fewer dangerous low-sugar events over 12 weeks.
