Smart cap aims to tame blood sugar spikes in diabetes

NCT ID NCT06845891

Summary

This study tested whether a smart cap that attaches to insulin pens helps adults with type 1 diabetes better control their blood sugar. The cap automatically records insulin doses and connects to a phone app to track glucose, food, and activity. Researchers compared 42 patients using the active cap to a control group to see if it reduced high blood sugar time and improved satisfaction.
