Smart stimulation aims to help stroke survivors walk better, longer

NCT ID NCT07189819

Summary

This study is testing a new 'smart' electrical stimulation system designed to help people walk better after a stroke. It aims to improve on current systems by automatically adjusting the stimulation to reduce muscle fatigue and provide more consistent help lifting the foot with each step. The research will compare this new system to a standard one in 20 participants who have had a stroke more than six months ago.
