Smart injector tested to help arthritis patients stay on track

NCT ID NCT05891600

Summary

This study looked at whether a smart auto-injector device helps people with rheumatoid arthritis stick to their medication schedule. Researchers reviewed the medical records of 60 patients in Colombia who used the device to give themselves a drug called etanercept. The goal was to see if using this device improved how consistently patients took their medicine and if that led to better control of their arthritis symptoms over 40 weeks.
