Brain implant listens and learns: new trial aims to Fine-Tune Parkinson's treatment

NCT ID NCT07105280

Summary

This study is testing a new 'adaptive' version of deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson's disease. It compares this smart stimulator, which adjusts itself based on brain signals, to the standard, fixed setting stimulator. The goal is to find out which type of stimulation works best for individual patients to better control their symptoms and improve daily life.
