Smart monitor alerts aim to shield kidneys in the operating room

NCT ID NCT05957406

Summary

This study tested whether a new smart monitoring system could help anesthesiologists better follow a blood pressure management plan during long, major surgeries. The goal was to see if these timely alerts could reduce the risk of patients developing kidney injury after their operation. It involved 296 adults undergoing elective, non-heart surgeries expected to last at least three hours.
