NCT ID NCT04275167

First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests two new imaging devices—a tethered capsule and a thin nasal probe—to see if they can safely and comfortably take pictures of the small intestine in children with Environmental Enteric Dysfunction (EED), a gut condition that causes malnutrition. About 170 children and adults in Pakistan will take part. The goal is to see if the devices work well and are tolerated, not to treat the disease.
