Scientists map the new face of a treated childhood disease

Summary
This study aims to understand how new, life-changing treatments for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) are changing the course of the disease in children. Researchers will closely follow 60 children under 16 years old for two years to describe their health, development, and quality of life in detail. The goal is to create a clearer picture of what living with treated SMA looks like and to find the best tools to measure progress for future care and research.
