China launches major study to track rare muscle disease in children

NCT ID NCT05042921

Summary

This study is creating a national registry to understand how spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) naturally progresses in children under 18 in China. It will also track how and when children receive approved SMA treatments in real-world settings. The goal is to gather knowledge to help improve future care by observing 600 pediatric participants, not to test a new treatment.
