First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study watches how spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) drugs affect muscles and nerves in 24 children and teens aged 5 to 20 with SMA types 2 and 3. Researchers use MRI scans, blood tests, and muscle function tests to track changes over 12 months. The goal is to better understand how treatments work, not to test a new drug.
