Slowing down chemo to stop the pain
NCT ID NCT03800693
Summary
This study is testing if giving a common chemotherapy drug (oxaliplatin) over 6 hours instead of the usual 2 hours can reduce or delay painful nerve damage in patients with gastrointestinal cancers. The goal is to help patients stay on their full, planned chemotherapy doses longer without needing to stop or reduce treatment due to side effects. Researchers will compare nerve pain, drug levels in the blood, and treatment outcomes between the two infusion times.
