First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests a new prosthetic foot that automatically adjusts to slopes and uneven ground, helping veterans with below-knee amputations walk more easily. About 30 veterans will try both the new foot and a standard one to see which improves their ability to join in daily activities and reduces fall risk. The goal is to give veterans more confidence and freedom in their everyday lives.
