Massive study reveals what really happens after weight loss surgery
NCT ID NCT07280845
Summary
This study analyzed existing medical records from nearly 20,000 people in Sweden who had sleeve gastrectomy surgery for severe obesity. Researchers looked at long-term results over up to 15 years to understand how much weight people kept off, how their other health conditions improved, and what complications or problems occurred. The goal was to gather real-world evidence about the benefits and risks of this common weight loss surgery.
