Could a headband replace the sleep lab for Alzheimer's patients?

NCT ID NCT07485153

First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether a wearable headband (Somfit) can accurately measure sleep stages in people with early or no Alzheimer's symptoms, compared to standard lab sleep tests. About 35 participants will wear both devices in a lab for two nights and then use the headband at home for three nights. The goal is to see if the headband works well enough to track sleep without needing an overnight hospital stay.
