Could your Child's sleep be causing cavities?
NCT ID NCT07427004
Summary
This study aimed to understand if sleep problems and the chemical makeup of saliva are connected to tooth decay and gum health in children. Researchers examined 73 healthy children aged 6-12, comparing those with many cavities to those with few or none. They collected saliva samples to measure hormones and stress markers, and used questionnaires to assess sleep habits, looking for links between these factors and dental health.
