Could a pill for sleep also protect your brain?
NCT ID NCT06823752
Summary
This study is testing whether a common sleep medication (lemborexant) can reduce certain substances in the blood that are linked to brain diseases like Alzheimer's. Twenty adults with insomnia will take the real medication and a placebo for two weeks each to compare the effects. The main goal is to gather information, not to treat insomnia or prevent brain disease directly.
