Alarm clocks for epilepsy: could disrupting sleep shorten hospital stays?

NCT ID NCT06581133

Summary

This study aims to see if purposely disrupting sleep with an alarm system can trigger seizures to happen sooner in patients being monitored in the hospital for epilepsy. Researchers will enroll 75 people with hard-to-control epilepsy who are already scheduled for hospital monitoring to evaluate their seizures. The goal is to learn if this approach could help reduce the length of hospital stays needed to capture seizure data.
