First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a weight-loss program that includes nutrition and behavior changes can reduce the risk of sleep apnea in overweight and obese people. About 400 adults took part. Researchers measured sleep apnea risk and daytime sleepiness before and after the program. The goal was to see if weight loss alone could help, without surgery or other treatments.
