Personalized surgery tested for childhood sleep apnea

NCT ID NCT05154214

Summary

This study compared two surgical approaches for treating obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in children. It involved 30 children, aged 2-18, who had moderate OSA along with either small tonsils or Down syndrome. Researchers tested if a personalized surgery, guided by a special sleep scope (DISE), was better than the standard tonsil and adenoid removal.
