Better sleep tests for kids: finding the right sedation for accurate diagnosis

NCT ID NCT05303987

Summary

This study compares two sedation medications (dexmedetomidine and propofol) during sleep endoscopy procedures in children with obstructive sleep apnea. Researchers want to see if one medication gives doctors a clearer picture of airway blockages during sleep. The goal is to help surgeons better plan tonsil and adenoid removal surgeries to improve outcomes for children who continue to have breathing problems after surgery.
