First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looked at 40 adults who had a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lungs) to see if those with sleep-disordered breathing had worse short-term outcomes or a higher chance of the clot coming back within a year. Participants were monitored for one year, and recurrence was confirmed by CT scans. The goal was to understand whether sleep apnea affects recovery and long-term risk.
