New weekly injection aims to tame sleep apnea and shed pounds

NCT ID NCT07387094

Summary

This study is testing whether a new weekly injection called XW003 can help people who have both obesity and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). It will compare the injection to a placebo (dummy treatment) in 140 adults who do not use a standard breathing machine (PAP therapy) for their sleep apnea. Researchers will measure changes in sleep apnea severity and body weight over 48 weeks to see if the treatment is effective and safe.
