Scientists probe sleep Apnea's hidden link to weakened immunity
NCT ID NCT07129486
Summary
This study aims to understand why people with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) might have a harder time fighting infections. Researchers will compare blood samples from 80 people with moderate-to-severe OSA and 40 people without it, looking at how their immune cells respond. They will check if standard CPAP therapy for sleep apnea helps improve how these immune cells work after three months.
