Scientists probe link between sleep apnea and body fat inflammation
NCT ID NCT01196845
Summary
This study aimed to understand if treating sleep apnea with CPAP therapy reduces inflammation in body fat. It included 40 men, both obese and non-obese, with severe sleep apnea. Researchers compared those using real CPAP to those using a placebo device to see if treatment lowered inflammation and related health risks.
