Could talking help position sleep apnea devices better?
NCT ID NCT05553860
Summary
This study compared two methods for positioning dental appliances used to treat sleep apnea. Researchers tested whether using speech sounds to position the jaw works as well as the traditional method of pushing the jaw forward. The study involved 11 adults with sleep apnea who needed dental appliances. The goal was to see if the speech method could reduce jaw pain and joint problems while still effectively treating sleep apnea.
