VA study probes double lung Disorder's toll on Veterans' brains

Summary
This study looks at older veterans who have both sleep apnea and COPD, a combination called Overlap Syndrome. Researchers want to see if having both conditions causes more problems with memory, attention, and daily life than having just one. They will also test whether treating sleep apnea with a breathing machine, with or without extra oxygen, can improve thinking and quality of life. About 108 veterans aged 60 and older will take part.
