Talking your way to better sleep? study tests new jaw positioning method

NCT ID NCT05553860

Summary

This study compared two methods for positioning the jaw in dental sleep apnea appliances. Researchers tested whether using speech sounds to guide jaw placement works as well as the traditional method of pushing the jaw forward. The goal was to see if the speech method could control sleep apnea symptoms while potentially causing less jaw pain and discomfort.
