NCT ID NCT03814603
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looked at how deep sleep and race might influence Alzheimer's risk. Researchers monitored sleep in 210 healthy older adults (ages 60-75) of African-American and white backgrounds. They measured brain amyloid levels, a marker for Alzheimer's, to see if poor sleep quality is linked to higher risk. No treatments were tested—this was purely observational.
