First seen Jun 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests two sleep medications, doxepin and ramelteon, to see if they can improve sleep quality in people recovering from knee replacement surgery. Poor sleep is common after this surgery and can slow healing. The trial will enroll 129 adults aged 18-80 and compare the drugs to a placebo, measuring sleep, pain, and knee function during recovery.
