New study tracks sleep in AFib patients before and after ablation

NCT ID NCT07259200

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at sleep quality in 100 people with atrial fibrillation who are scheduled for a heart procedure called pulmonary vein isolation. Participants will have four sleep tests (two before and two after the procedure) to measure breathing and heart rate during sleep. The goal is to see if treating AFib improves sleep apnea symptoms. The study is observational and non-invasive, meaning it only monitors—it does not test a new treatment.
