Trial tests three drugs for painful skin blood vessel inflammation
NCT ID NCT02939573
Summary
This study aims to find which of three existing medications works best for treating isolated skin vasculitis, a condition where blood vessels in the skin become inflamed. Researchers will enroll 90 adults with active skin lesions and randomly assign them to take either colchicine, dapsone, or azathioprine for six months. If the first medication doesn't work or causes side effects, participants can try a second option from the remaining two drugs.
