Simple skin test could predict Parkinson's years before symptoms
NCT ID NCT07428447
Summary
This study is testing a new skin biopsy to see if it can identify which people with essential tremor are most likely to develop Parkinson's disease. Researchers will take small skin samples from 300 participants to look for a specific protein linked to Parkinson's. They will then follow participants for two years to see if the test accurately predicts who develops the disease.
