NCT ID NCT07215442

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at how people with below-knee amputations sense warm and cool temperatures on their skin, and how their blood vessels react. Researchers tested 56 participants, including those with and without diabetes, to find the smallest temperature change they could feel. The goal is to understand thermal discomfort in prosthetic users and guide better prosthetic design.
