New depression patch tested for skin safety in 230 volunteers

NCT ID NCT07452692

First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether a new selegiline skin patch causes less irritation or allergic reactions than an existing patch (EMSAM). About 230 healthy adults with major depressive disorder will wear both patches repeatedly. Researchers will check skin redness, swelling, and how well the patch sticks, to see if the new patch is gentler on the skin.
