First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tested a new way to measure muscle stiffness by taking pictures of the skin on the back. A clinician gently pulled on the skin while three cameras recorded how it moved. The goal was to see if this imaging method could detect differences in tissue stiffness. Five adults took part, and no treatments or medications were given.
