New gadget aims to take the guesswork out of measuring skin hardening in scleroderma

NCT ID NCT07543679

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study is testing a new device called ADHELASKIN to see if it can measure skin stiffness more accurately than the current method (feeling the skin by hand) in people with systemic sclerosis (scleroderma). The study will compare 100 participants: those with scleroderma and healthy volunteers. The goal is to find a more objective and reliable way to track skin damage, which could improve how doctors monitor the disease.
