First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving families a simple skin color scale can help them notice jaundice in their newborn earlier. Jaundice is common but can be dangerous if missed. The study will involve 128 healthy babies born between 36-42 weeks. Families will use the scale at home, and researchers will track hospital visits for jaundice and how well breastfeeding goes.
