Simple skin creams could ease cancer Treatment's itchy side effect

NCT ID NCT07337486

Summary

This study tested whether over-the-counter skin care products could prevent or reduce itchy skin rashes caused by immunotherapy in cancer patients. 130 adults starting immunotherapy for solid tumors were randomly assigned to use either a special cream containing niacinamide and shea butter or a standard cream for six months. Researchers measured how much itching patients experienced and how skin problems affected their quality of life.
