First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study compares two skin-care approaches to prevent or reduce painful skin reactions caused by radiation therapy in head and neck cancer patients. About 104 adults receiving TomoTherapy will be randomly assigned to use either a moisturizing cream with a foam dressing or a silicone-based barrier film. The goal is to see which method better prevents moderate to severe skin burns, helping patients stay comfortable and avoid treatment delays.
