New drug aims to shrink tumors before cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT03565783

Summary

This study is testing whether giving an immunotherapy drug called cemiplimab before surgery helps treat a type of skin cancer on the head and neck. The drug is designed to help the body's own immune system attack the cancer cells. Researchers want to see if the treatment shrinks tumors and improves outcomes for the 44 patients in the trial.
