Text alerts and doctor training aim to catch skin cancer early in transplant survivors

NCT ID NCT04358276

Summary

This study tests whether sending educational text messages to stem cell transplant survivors, and sometimes training their doctors, helps them find skin cancer sooner. Survivors are at high risk for skin cancer, and finding it early leads to better outcomes. The research compares three approaches: just sending patients information, also alerting their doctor, or also giving the doctor special training and a skin exam tool.
