Tiny radiation seeds tested for Tough-to-Treat skin cancers

NCT ID NCT04540588

Summary

This study tested the safety and effectiveness of giving a second round of a targeted radiation treatment to people whose skin, mouth, or soft tissue cancer came back after the first treatment. The treatment involves placing tiny radioactive seeds directly into the tumor to deliver a powerful, localized dose of radiation. Researchers measured whether the tumors shrank and monitored patients for any side effects.
